Embedded APAC Security Systems Supervisor

Work Location: On-site at Client's office (Fusionopolis area)

Official work Hours: Monday – Friday (9AM – 6 PM SGT); nature of this role will require to work outside of official working hours.

Reporting to: APAC Security Manager, APAC Security Control Centre (ASCC)

 

Job Description:

This position is embedded with The Client Company’s APAC Security Control Center (ASCC) which is responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events, researching regional and global affairs, incoming call mitigation, event dispatching and emergency notification services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ASCC Security Systems Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our global operations by serving as the regional subject matter expert on security systems. This role involves supervising and maintaining security systems and databases, overseeing CCTV systems, and the management of employee badging and visitor systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in software and security systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Relationship Management:

  • Report directly to the ASCC Manager and work in a team of other Security Supervisors and Specialists.

  • Collaborate with the APAC Global Security team’s Regional Security Heads and other key business partners such as TWDC IT and Network departments

  • Serve as a liaison between APAC Security and Security Design and Engineering Technology teams to articulate functional requirements for technical deployments in service of the operations needs

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with security system vendors

  • Some meetings and security operations outside standard business hours may be required.


Security Software Systems Management:

  • Under the direction of the ASCC Manager and guidance from GSD&E team, assist with the technical oversight of the installation, maintenance, and operation of physical security systems including access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other electronic security systems.

  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to integrate security systems with other business systems and infrastructure.

  • Monitor and manage security system performance. Troubleshooting and dealing with any problems arising with the Security Systems hardware or software, escalating such issues to the approved contracted companies if required.

  • Ensuring that routine maintenance is carried out on the security systems throughout the region, using the approved contracted companies.

  • Ensuring that documentation of systems information (e.g. Server details, vendor details, etc.) are kept up to date.

  • Responding to issues identified by the APAC Security Staff and stakeholders in other locations including alarms, reported camera faults, etc., for the APAC region.

  • Managing projects such as new country site set up and integration of existing offices systems.

  • Maintains reports regarding system downtime, plans for preventative maintenance, and disaster recovery.

  • Monitors the performance of servers and ensures that they are running smoothly; this includes checking system logs, monitoring resource usage, and addressing any issues that arise.


Badging and Credentialing:

  • Create, issue, and manage employee and contractor badges and credentials, ensuring proper access levels are assigned based on roles and responsibilities.

  • Maintain accurate records of issued badges and credentials, and regularly review access levels for appropriateness.

  • Conduct regular audits of badging and credentialing systems to ensure compliance with security policies.

 

CCTV System Oversight:

  • Manage and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring all cameras are functioning correctly and footage is being recorded and stored as required.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of CCTV systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and coordinate any repairs or maintenance issues to contracted security vendors.

  • Retrieve and review footage as needed for investigations and provide reports to the ASCC and APAC Global Security Management

Database Management:

  • Manage security-related databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Generate and analyze security reports, and provide insights and recommendations.

  • Provide key performance metrics regarding risk management, service maturity, and service level agreements.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and processes.


Incident Response and Investigation:

  • Assist in responding to security incidents and emergencies.

  • Conduct investigations into security breaches and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.

  • Support APAC Security Management and other Global Security teams, as well as regional partners in support of incident response and investigations.

 

Basic Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Five+ years of experience in a security function through corporate environments. A minimum of four years’ experience at an Analyst/Sr Analyst level with responsibility for security systems.

  • Substantive technical experience with enterprise-grade global security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, video management, radio over IP, mass notification systems, etc.

  • Experience managing projects, budget input, and project updates.

  • Aptitude for personal communication and diplomacy skills, able to convey difficult concepts .

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of IT infrastructure lifecycle management.

  • Knowledge and experience with ticketing and project management systems.

  • Experience working with computer-aided design programs.

  • Experience with editing/mark-up programs such as Bluebeam Revu and the ability to read construction drawings.

  • Experience with security databases and management of security-related data.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is considered

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to physical security and data protection.

  • Knowledge of MS Project, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Concur, and/or Big Fix.

  • Experience working in Asana, ServiceNow, and Confluence.

  • Genetec video management system enterprise certifications.

  • Lenel access control system enterprise certifications.

  • PMP, PSP, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, COBIT.

  • Three years in a multinational organization.

  • Additional experience working for a major Value-Added-Retailer, integrator, and/or security vendor.
